Midwest Sunfish Regatta schedule for 2022

Refreshments after first day of racing for 2021 season. 18 boats on the starting line. 6 - 10 knot winds. Then an exciting ride back to the beach when the front came through exactly as forecast. The temperature dropped 20 degrees, and the wind increased to 20+ knots.

On June 27th we had our first ever Boat Spa Day and Open Sailing Day
Thanks to all who came down to the beach to assist with cleaning, inspecting, and of course muscle power to move the boats around so we could work on them.
And thanks to members Rob Baade, Bill Cowlin, Liza Boling, Dan and Julie Wickman (apologize for any spelling errors) who treated their boats to a good cleaning and inspection for problems. We also included club boats in the cleaning effort, some of which were used for the Open Sailing later in the afternnon. And we got to mingle with some members.

The time is fast approaching for our May 11th Speed & Smarts seminar featuring Dave Dellenbaugh, one of the premier sailors in the U.S. The morning session will be devoted to Starting and the afternoon will feature Upwind Strategy and Tactics.
